Hope Underground is a Christian ministry providing mentorship, financial assistance, transitional housing and life-skill training to teenagers and young adults within the Austin area who are without a family or community 'safety net'. These teens and young adults are either homeless or are likely to become homeless in the near future. On a given day there are about 4,000 homeless people in Travis County. Approximately 1 in 3 homeless people are former foster children who are left with little or no assistance once they 'age out' of the foster care system.

We take a collaborative approach to helping troubled teens and young adults empower themselves to develop self-sufficiency. First and foremost in this approach is sharing the message of Jesus Christ. We believe that a personal relationship with God is the only way to bring about real life change and heal our brokenness. The bible tells us that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46).
